Why Shopping at Dirt Cheap is Worth it to me

So, if you know anything about me or my bargain shopping you know that I have been obsessed with Dirt Cheap for years. I feel like this blog is so over due. I get more feedback and questions about Dirt Cheap than I do anything else. It makes my day when someone sends me a picture of their Dirt Cheap finds, tells me they love Dirt Cheap, or tells me they started shopping there because of me! When I first started shopping there I would find clothes here and there, but now you can find anything from shoes to home decor, too. I am going to tell you why I think digging through clothes and spending two hours at a time is worth it. Also, how I shop there and don't get overwhelmed!

P.S Bargain Hunt is a lot like Dirt Cheap. I find more Home Decor there rather than clothes so I am going to share some things about it and share a few pictures of things I have found at Bargain Hunt, too!

Below are some pictures of me wearing outfits from Dirt Cheap, none of the items cost more than $10!

1.) Dirt Cheap and Bargain Hunt are pretty much an overstock warehouse for Target

I would say 75% of the things in Dirt Cheap and Bargain Hunt are Target Brands; Universal Thread, A New Day, Mossimo, and Wild Fable. A lot of the clothes are the year after it was in Target stores. If you get lucky it is current Target clothes. Many times I have looked up what I bought and it is still online! I love love love Target, but there is not one super close to me so Dirt Cheap is like my Target run fix.

2.) They have nice home decor and furniture

The home decor is a little less organized than the clothes. It is organized on shelves so it is picked through more. They have bedding, throw pillows, curtains, rugs, and so much more. My mom recently redone her house and she bought so much home decor from Dirt Cheap. It is all Target Brand! They also have Hearth and Hand brand by Chip and Joanna Gains. They occasionally have really good furniture, too! We have found ottomans and cool boho chairs there for half the price you would pay at Target. Bargain Hunt is a similar store with a lot of great home decor and furniture from Target!

$18 for both of these huge canvases!

Runner rug for $15 at Bargain Hunt!

The small canvases are from Bargain Hunt!

Wall Shelves from Bargain Hunt!

Throw pillows from Bargain Hunt!

Ottoman from Bargain Hunt for $8!

White Chair for $18!

3.) They have Daily Sales and their prices decrease over time

So, if you have never went to Dirt Cheap this is how it works. They have tags on their clothes with letters on them and have signs hanging on their ceiling with how much it is discounted. It varies from "Price as Marked" to 80% off. The longer it is in the store the more it is discounted.

BIGGEST TIP: Download their app and you can scan each tag to see how much it is! Sometime the tag is wrong and you can get it for much cheaper!

Dresses are usually $8-$15

Shirts are usually $4-$8

Pants are usually $8-$15

Home Decor varies!

4.) They have Target bathing suits in bulk!

They have table and tables of Target bathing suits for $3.50. I know some people are picky about buying bathing suits but most of them still have the linings in them! This is where you have to dig and find your size. Also, you may have to mix and match, but to me it is sooo worth it! I love Target bathing suits and I believe digging through them is totally worth it!

Tips on How I Shop There:

You just have to pick and choose in what are you want to shop to make it easier.

A lot of people get overwhelmed by everything that is in Dirt Cheap. Honestly, sometimes it can be over crowded or unorganized. 90% of the time I go in there with the sole purpose to look for clothes. So, I start with what I want to find like shirts or pants first. The one in Rainbow City is super organized so it makes it easier to look through the hanging clothes. Of course, I always get side tracked and it takes longer than I planned. If you go for home decor start with home decor and if you go for clothes start with clothes! Bargain Hunt in Gadsden is usually super organized so it makes finding things easier!
