SUMMER RECAP

On of the perks of being a teacher is having the Summers off! I have enjoyed the time off! I wanted to recap this Summer for you guys! I appreciate the support of this blog and on Instagram so much! I have grown as person mentally and spiritually in this season more than I have in years!

So, here are my Summer highlights:

1.) Refocused on my Blog and Instagram Account

Last year, I decided that I wanted to write a blog with NO idea on how to do it. I went to this website and just started writing. Quickly after only TWO blogs I let it drift away. I didn't know anything about growing on Instagram either. Well, I took some time off and I read up on how to grow organically on Instagram and after creating more creative content, discovering some cheap presets, engaging with my audience, putting myself out there on videos on stories, posting at least three days a week, and being more vulnerable I started growing more! I felt like everything was falling to place. God has blessed me with two collaborations that just fell in my lap! I got four free outfits! I have met some amazing fellow Instagram friends. It has been so fun using my passions to influence people on Instagram. I pray that what I do will inspire just one person! All this to encourage YOU to go after your dreams and passions. Even if it is out of your comfort zone! I used to be so insecure and had major body image issues I never thought I would be posting so many pictures of myself and feeling confident!

2.) We sold our house and bought a new house!

So as happy as I am with our new house...it has been a PROCESS! So, long story short we sold our house and closed on it and we were supposed to close on our new house three days later. Well, two days before we were supposed to close they told us they needed paperwork and that we couldn't close. We got our paperwork in that day but they said we couldn't close till the next week. Well, we had no where to go so the sellers said we could go ahead and move in since we were going to close in a few days. Well, this went on for a MONTH!! We ended up having to pay rent for two weeks and we had painted, unpacked, and decorated a house we didn't even own! We were just being faithful it would all work out!

3.) Beach with my Bestie!

This whole Summer I thought I wouldn't be able to go on vacation this Summer because everything that has been going on with my house. My best friend called me and asked me if I would want to go to the beach in two weeks, and I was like yes!! So, I drove up there by myself and met her and her family. It was a great time to just relax and not think about social media, school, or anything stressful for a few days. We caught some beautiful sunsets and her stepmom and her best friend kept us rolling laughing the entire time!

4.) I became a Crazy Cat Lady!

Yall, I never thought I would be a cat person! My husband has always been a cat person and when our anniversary came around I had no gift ideas so I just got him a kitten haha. He has been our entertainment and he is obsessed with my husband and it melts my heart. He is such a cuddler. Our cat has been so much easier than the dogs we have owned, just saying!

5.) I became a Volleyball Coach!

So, I was a soccer coach this past school year and I got convinced to coach middle school volleyball! So, a few if my summer "off" have been spent at practices, camp, and play dates!
